Hawaiโi Basketball Legend Anthony Carter to Have No. 23 Raised to the Rafters
After an illustrious 13-year NBA career, former University of Hawaiโi guard Anthony Carter returns to Mฤnoa, where his No. 23 jersey will be raised to the rafters of the Stan Sheriff Center.
Carter, one of the greatest players in Hawaiโi basketball history, led the Rainbow Warriors to their first Western Athletic Conference (WAC) regular season title and left UH as the programโs all-time leader in assists per game (6.9). He also ranks third all-time in total assists for a single season (212), a mark he set during the 1997โ98 campaign.
Rainbow Wahine Ride Reidโs Hot Hand to Three-Set Victory
Already up 24-14 in the third set, sophomore setter Adrianna Arquette found the ball for a set, setting up a signature play.
As Arquette lifted the ball, sophomore middle blocker Miliana Sylvester slid from her middle pin spot, initiating her trademark Rainbow Slide and slamming the ball down on the other side of the net.
Benches cleared, and the Stan Sheriff Center erupted.

Holding onto a narrow 24-19 lead, a successful conversion could ice the game. A stop, however, would give the Rams a golden opportunity to steal the win.
Barfield wasnโt interested in leaving it up to chance.
Taking the handoff, he broke through the line of scrimmage, shed a would-be tackler, and sprinted 35 yards to the end zone.

With 2:31 left in the fourth quarter, Utah State quarterback Bryson Barnes dropped back in the pocket, desperately looking for an open receiver. Barnes let go of a desperation pass over the middle to senior wide receiver Kahanu Davis, but it was intercepted by junior linebacker Jamih Otis, who blanketed Davis in coverage.
Hawaiโi kneeled out the clock, and the Clarence T.C. Ching Complex erupted.
For the first time in 15 years, the Rainbow Warriors beat Utah State by a score of 44-26, and did it in style, bidding farewell to the Aggies as they head off to the Pac-12 Conference.
Wahine Fall to Cal Poly in Straight Sets, Suffer First Home Sweep Since 2023
Down 24-20 and facing match point, the University of Hawaiโi Rainbow Wahine volleyball team were searching for a spark. After a deflating second set in which Hawaiโi managed just 14 points against a sharp Cal Poly attack, the Wahine turned to youth, and found a temporary answer.
Freshman outside hitter Chaโlei Reid delivered a crucial kill through the Mustangsโ block to make it 24-21, igniting the Stan Sheriff Center crowd and breathing life into a potential rally. On the next point, senior outside hitter Tyla Reese Mane kept the momentum going, finding the back row for her 10th kill of the night and cutting the deficit to two.

Coming off a bye week, the University of Hawaiโi Rainbow Warriors football team is preparing for Mountain West foe Utah State, a team Hawaiโi hasnโt beaten since 2010.

Rainbow Wahine Return Home Looking to Regain Momentum in Big West Play
After a mixed-bag road trip, the University of Hawaiโi Rainbow Wahine volleyball team is back at the Stan Sheriff Center to continue Big West Conference play, facing off against the Cal Poly Mustangs and the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos.
Despite entering the season as the Big West preseason favorites, the Rainbow Wahine havenโt quite lived up to expectations so far. Hawaiโi holds a 6-9 overall record and sits at 2-2 in conference play. Still, associate head coach Kaleo Baxter and the rest of the coaching staff remain confident in the squad.
Rainbow Wahine Split First Big West Road Trip
In their first conference road trip of the season, the Rainbow Wahine bounced back with a solid win over Cal State Bakersfield, but couldnโt carry that momentum into their next match, getting swept by Cal State Northridge.
Hawaiโi took down the Roadrunners (8-6, 1-2 Big West Conference) in four sets (25-20, 25-23, 25-18, 25-17) behind a huge night from sophomore setter Adrianna Arquette, who recorded her second career triple-double with 14 kills, 28 assists, and 20 digs. She led the team in all three categories.
Hawaiโi Volleyball Brings Home Maui Native Donan Cruz as Assistant Coach
The University of Hawaiโi at Mฤnoa menโs volleyball program has added a major name to its coaching staff. Maui native and former Ball State head coach Donan Cruz has been named an assistant coach under head coach Charlie Wade, following the departure of long-time assistant Milan Zarkovic to UCLA.

Wahine Volleyball goes 0-3 at Stanford Invitational
On its first road trip of the year, the University of Hawaiโi Rainbow Wahine Volleyball team went 0-3 at the Stanford Invitational, losing 3-0 to Stanford and UCLA, and 4-1 Texas State.
The Wahine could not get the offense going in Palo Alto, hitting .179 against Stanford, .090 against UCLA, and .142 against Texas State.
